Kennesaw instructor passes the test Haberman recertified as Senior Professional in Human Resources
While teaching a class on Human Resources for the Continuing Education Department at Kennesaw State University last year, Michael Haberman tried to include topics necessary to successfully gain certification in the field of human resources.
One way to ensure that he was including all of the material was to have someone take the test. Then Haberman realized he had let his own certification lapse and decided to sit for the test himself. It’s not an easy test, only about 57 percent of those taking it passing the December 2001 examination.
Haberman, of east Cobb, a professional with over 22 years of experience in dealing with the challenges of Human Resources in the business environment, passed the test and received re-certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
The certification, awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), signifies that Haberman possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to demonstrate a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field.
“The test is both theoretical and practical in the areas of human resource management that I use with clients and teach students,” Haberman said.
